Prayers for Patrick J. Cahill, 73 of Palatine will begin at 9:30AM on Wednesday, November 23rd at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine for funeral Mass at 10:00AM. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00PM until 8:00PM.
Mr. Cahill was born June 12, 1938 in Chicago and passed away at his home on November 18, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Local #281, working for Automatic Sprinkler Fitters, retiring after 35 years of service.
Loving husband of Maureen (nee: McGuinn) Cahill; father of Kevin and Patrick Jr.; step father of Susan (nee: Donohue) Garza; grandfather of Chris, Ryan, Brittany, Blaine, Ben and Bridgette Cahill; step grandfather of Ernesto, John and Nicole Garza; brother of Kathleen Jaszka and the Reverend John Cahill; loving father in law of Julia and Carlin Cahill; brother in law of Norm Eslinger; loving papa to Madde and John Weber; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents John and Bridget Cahill; sister Delores Eslinger; brothers Tim, Richard and Daniel Cahill.
