Sabina K. Tischer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sabina, a woman of profound faith, selfless love and an unwavering commitment to her family. In accordance with Sabina's wishes, Interment will be private for the family.

Sabina Tischer (Duprey) age 72, was born on August 1, 1953, and passed away at her home in Lake Zurich, Illinois on May 2, 2026.

Sabina's life was defined by the deep roots she planted within her family tree. While she did not have children of her own, she possessed a mother's heart that knew no bounds. For decades, she embraced her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews as her very own creating a sanctuary of love and laughter for them all. For 20 years, Sabina's home was the heartbeat of the family. Her pool was more than just a place to swim; it was the backdrop for countless weekends filled with fun. Whether she was hosting a bustling family party or quietly watching from the sidelines as the children played, Sabina found her greatest joy in the happiness of others. The memories she forged during those summer days are treasures that her family will carry forever.

Sabina was the living embodiment of selflessness. A natural caregiver, she consistently put the needs of others above her own, providing devoted care to her mother and sister Susan during their illnesses. Her strength was anchored in a strong and certain faith, a light that guided her through life's challenges.

In her own time of need, Sabina was supported by the unwavering love of her husband, Tom. As her dedicated caregiver, Tom walked beside her through every step of her challenging journey.

Though she left our physical sight, we take comfort in knowing that Sabina has become the angel she always was in spirit, now watching over us from above.

Sabina was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sabina (Gannon) Duprey; and her sisters, Susan Stuhrberg, Patricia Sturm, and Barbara Eby.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Tom; brothers, Robert (Stephanie) Duprey, Ronald (Cathy) Duprey, and Martin (Marge) Duprey; her sister, Deborah (Stephen) May; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Journeycare Hospice in Sabina's memory, in gratitude for the care and peace they provide.

Sabina lived for those she loved, and those she loved will remember.
