Marcia A. Chouinard

Visitation for Marcia A. Chouinard, 88, of Barrington, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Marcia was born on December 26, 1937 to Marcus and Eva Schwartz. She passed away at home on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Marcia was a devoted Catholic and found joy in many hobbies and activities throughout her life. She was an avid reader who loved immersing herself in stories and knowledge. Her creative talents shone through her passion for crafts, particularly needlepoint and crochet. Marcia also enjoyed bowling, a lover of games; she spent many happy hours playing bridge and cards with friends. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively

Marcia was the loving wife of the late, Philippe Joseph Chouinard; beloved mother of Jeanne (Tom) Dobbins, Theresa Chouinard, Ed Chouinard, John Chouinard; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 6; fond sister of Marcus, Sheri, and Eva. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe, Pete, Rich, Margo, Jim, John, Mike, and Steve.
