Zofia Babiarz

A Funeral Mass will be said Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 181 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling (in Polish). The Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery Outdoor Mausoleum & Garden at 12:00 pm.

Zofia was born on July 15, 1942, in Poland and passed away on May 8, 2026

Zofia was the loving mother of Elzbieta (Artur) Nieweglowski, Marek Babiarz and Margaret Babiarz; and loving grandmother of Eliza (Simon) Swanson.

She came to America from Poland with courage, determination, and dreams for a better future. Through hard work and perseverance, she built a loving life centered on family. She deeply loved both her family in the United States and her family in Poland, and cherished every moment spent with them.

Zofia enjoyed gardening, kept up with the news around the world, loved her cats and bird watching.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
