
Memorial visitation for Julia Bartecki (nee Buczek), 95, of Palatine for 17 years, will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial mass at 12:15 p.m., at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 6725 W. Devon Ave., Chicago, IL, 60631. Her beloved nephew, Father Gene Dyer, will officiate.
Born June 9, 1916 in Chicago, she passed away peacefully, Friday, October 14, 2011 at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, Palatine.
Julia was a longtime resident and volunteer at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in Palatine. She was one of the first residents to move into the new apartments, and she really enjoyed her time there. She has now joined her husband, Chester, in heaven.
Survivors include her children, Cecelia (Bill) Bartecki, Kenneth (late first wife, Virginia, and late second wife, Janet) Bartecki, Christine (Joe) Miller, Michele (Craig) Vandegrift; grandmother of twelve; and great-grandmother of six.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Bartecki; parents, Paul and Harriet (nee Bielec) Buczek; sisters, Frances Czerwinski, Lucille Dyer, Ann Clement; and brother, Peter Buczek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL, 60067.
