Irene E. Scarpelli
A Funeral Mass for Irene E. Scarpelli, 87, a resident of Inverness since 1983 will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness, on Thursday January 5th at 10:30AM. Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery Mausoleum, Palatine. Visitation will be on Wednesday January 4th at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy. from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will also be held from 9:30AM until the time of the Mass at 10:30AM on Thursday at Holy Family Church.
Irene was born in Italy on July 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Michele and Laura (Salerno) Turchiaro, and passed away on Saturday December 31, 2011.
Irene was the former owner of Como Beauty Salon in Chicago for 10 years.
Beloved wife of 64 years of Michael Scarpelli; loving mother of Vincent (Debi), Paul (Kimberley) and the late Robert C. Scarpelli, Sr.; cherished grandmother of Robert (Erin) Jr., Michael, Daniel, Ryan (Gina) and Caitlin Scarpelli; great grandmother of Nathan and Owen Scarpelli; also survived by many nieces and nephews; 2 sisters Lidia and Gilda preceded Irene in death.
