Howard F. Vasey
Howard Francis Vasey, 71, of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully at Advocate Christ Medical Center on Monday, October 24, 2011. Howard was born in Woodstock, IL on Christmas, Dec. 25, 1939. He was happily married for 42 years to Jane Marie (nee McNally). He was a parishioner for 40 years at St. Francis de Sales of Lake Zurich. Howard was a veteran and served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked at Portage Tool Company of Temple Steel from which he retired after 45 years of services. He enjoyed being with his family, gardening and working around his yard and home. Howard is survived by his loving children; Howard (Gia), Gerald (Suzanne), Stephen (Michelle) and Nicole (Michael) Dasbach; dear grandfather of Jonathan, Tyler and Wyatt Vasey, and Stephanie, Patrick and Ryan Dasbach. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Saturday at the funeral home going to St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for mass at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis de Sales Church made in memory of Howard F. Vasey would be appreciated.
