Harriet F. Swanson
Services for Harriet F. Swanson, 69 of Lombard formerly of Palatine will begin with prayers at 9:30AM on Saturday, October 15th at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church 465 N. Benton Street, Palatine, for Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. An interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, also in Palatine. A visitation will be held from 3:00PM until 9:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
Harriet was born on January 22, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late Harry and Florence (Deitz) Wickersheim and passed away on Monday, October 3rd at Lexington Healthcare Center of Lombard.
Harriet had worked for St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in the activity department for 19 years, where she also spent a great deal of time volunteering. Harriet is a former member of the board of Countryside Association for people with disabilities also of Palatine.
Beloved wife of the late Carl Swanson; loving mother of Greta Louise Swanson and Edward Swanson; loving foster mother of Gordon Fugate and the late David (the late Betsy) Lageschulte; dear grandmother of Rebecca and John Swanson-Guerra, Chloe and Erica Guerra; foster grandmother of Christina Joy Lageschulte; great grandmother of Karrina and Gabriel; sister of Roberta Nauman, Marylou Muehleis, the late Elise Wickersheim; foster sister of Lenore Fitzsimmons; sister in law of Alice Salas, and Norma Bobczyk.
