Fred C. Antonsen
Services and interment for Fred C. Antonsen, 88, of Palatine former long time resident of Evanston will be private. Fred was born on January 1, 1924 in Chicago the son of the late Fred C. and Hilda (Odegaard) Antonsen and passed away peacefully two days after his 88th birthday.
Fred was an Army Veteran who received a Purple Heart after being wounded while serving in Germany during WWII. One of Fred’s passions was being a member of the Jersey Pine Cruisers Motorcycle Club of DesPlaines. Fred and his wife loved to ride his motorcycle and being a part of the trips, campouts, poker runs and other events sponsored by the Jersey Pine Cruisers.
Beloved husband of 59 years of the late Sheila (McHugh) Antonsen; loving father of Cindy (Stephen Clingerman) Antonsen and Eric Antonsen; cherished grandfather of Andrew Clingerman.
In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, Il 60010 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd floor, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.
