Deacon Edward A. Swiech
Edward A. Swiech, Deacon, 85, Lake Zurich, formerly of Chicago, was born on July 16, 1926, in Chicago and passed away October 30, 2011, at Good Shepherd Hospital. Edward lovingly served the sick and the needy as a permanent Deacon at St. Priscilla and St. Robert Bellarmine Parishes in Chicago. He was also a dedicated civil service worker for the City of Chicago for many years. Edward served in the Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He will be remembered for his quick humor, genuine compassion, love of his family and fondness of classical music and the arts. He was the beloved husband of Sally (nee Madej); father of John (Judith), Paul (Kay), Mary (Greg) Miller and Ann (Joe Zboralski) Swiech; grandfather of Jessica, Carolyn, Evan, Katherine, David, Joseph, Thomas and Margaret. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 9:00pm Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich and also in state on Thursday at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill Street, Wauconda from 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:30am. The interment will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Edward.
