Charles E. Henricks
Funeral services for Charles “Chuck” E. Henricks, 76, a longtime resident of Palatine will take place at 2:30PM on Saturday, October 29th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine. The interment will be private. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 28th from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Chuck was born on February 7, 1935 in Chicago the son of the late Herbert and Helen (Siewerth) Henricks and passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 26th at his home.
Chuck had worked for the Village of Palatine as a head mechanic in the late 1960s. He then went on to become the mechanic foreman for Township High School District 211 at Palatine High School where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 2001. Chuck was also the former owner of Oasis Auto Supply Store in Palatine. An active member and former trustee of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Palatine where he loved to serve and help the congregation in any way he could. Chuck enjoyed spending his winters in Naples, Florida with his beloved wife, family and many dear friends.
Beloved husband of 56 years of Marilyn (Johnson) Henricks; loving father of Steven (Barbara) Henricks, Deborah (Jeffrey) Collins and the late Michael Henricks; dear father in law of Lin Henricks; cherished grandfather of Nathan Henricks, Morgon (Danny) Mejdrich, Carter and Emma Henricks; great grandfather of Brooke, Doug and Leah Mejdrich; fond brother of Florence (Robert) Lindemann, Herbert (Jan) Henricks and the late Walter Henricks; brother in law of Josephine Henricks; also survived by many nieces and nephews
