Brenda Bland-Ruggiero
Memorial visitation for Brenda Bland-Ruggiero, 56, of Palatine since 1987, will be held Saturday, February 4, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Palatine, 800 E. Palatine Rd., Palatine. The Reverend Ron Dempsey will officiate.
Brenda was born September 2, 1955 to the late Dallas and Betty (Sizemore) Bland in Upper Sandusky, OH. She passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Pepper Family Hospice Home, Barrington.
Brenda graduated from Carey, OH High School in 1973 and Findlay College, OH in 1978. Brenda was the wife of Mark T. Ruggiero and the loving mother of Drew and Evan Ruggiero. Brenda is survived by a sister Tonya Mathisen of Wauconda, IL.
Many things brought joy to Brenda’s life, but her greatest accomplishment was raising her two sons. Brenda enjoyed attending her sons’ Water Polo matches and Swimming and Diving meets during their high school years. Playing piano, singing, decorating and making a beautiful home for her family, were just a few simple pleasures Brenda enjoyed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brenda’s honor may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010.
