Alfred "Kent" Tracy
Visitation for Alfred “Kent” Tracy, 79, of Palatine since 1970, will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Born April 9, 1932 in Annapolis, IL, he passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights.
Kent was a Captain in the U.S. Army having served in Europe. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He worked 35 years for Western Electric, Teletype and AT&T.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth L. “Betty” Tracy (nee Scherer); children, Steven (Wendy) Tracy, Mark Tracy and Sharon (Jeff) Tracy-Wanat; grandchildren, Samuel and Matthew Tracy and Jeffrey, Victoria, Jenna, and Sarah Wanat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arkell and Edna (nee Freeland) Tracy; brothers, Keith and Neil Tracy.
