William D. Baughman

Visitation for William D. Baughman, 84, will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine.

William was born January 5, 1937, in Pittsfield, Ill., and passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the Condell Medical Center Hospice in Libertyville.

William was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where he was active in the New Member Class, and Peace Groups.  He was a volunteer at Crosspoint Lutheran Church in Lakewood and the Willow Creek Community Church Care Center.  Bill enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities. He also enjoyed all the latest consumer electronics and was an active member of a local car enthusiasts club.

William was the loving husband of the late Carolyn R. Baughman (nee Worley), father of David (Kathleen) Baughman, Susan (Ron) Gadek and Steven (India) Baughman; grandfather of Matthew and Mary Kate Baughman, Bradley Gadek, William and Chloe Baughman; son of the late William H. and Gwendolyn Baughman of Quincy, IL; and brother of Diane Sloan of Quincy, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Crosspoint Church, c/o Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
