In Loving Memory of Tony Volgi, a Devoted Husband, Cherished Father, and Beloved Nonno leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will forever impact our lives. He passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 66 years old.

A Memorial Visitation for Tony will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL.

Tony was born in Ciminna, Sicily on October 13, 1957, to Rosaria and the late Giovanni Volgi. As a young boy, he immigrated to the United States where he resided for over 60 years.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, of 43 years. They shared a love that was one of enduring commitment, selflessness, and unwavering support through life's joys and challenges. Together, they built a home and raised two boys, John and Anthony, filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories that included a love of sports, food and traveling.

As a loving father, Tony was a wonderful teacher and served as a role-model to his children, John and Anthony. He imparted wisdom, kindness, and a strong work ethic, instilling in them the values of family and compassion. Whether coaching their sports teams, teaching them how to fix something or cooking with them, Tony always dedicated his time to his boys. This love extended to his daughter-in-laws, Julie and Ashley. He loved them like his own and it gave him joy to see how happy his boys and daughter-in-laws were together. Tony's love for his kids was endless, and they will forever be grateful for the love and support he provided throughout their lives.

Tony's greatest joy was found in his role as a Nonno where he shared an unwavering bond of love and support to his grandchildren, Anthony, Annabella, Luca, Gabrielle and Giovanni. Memories of Tony will live on through them and the stories that they tell to each other and to his newest grandson Niccolo who was born the day after his passing. His grandchildren were his life and he devoted himself to them from the moment they were born. He embraced each grandchild, showering them with love, laughter and support. Some of their favorite memories include: sleepovers on “purple” night, playing kissy face, trips to Italy, Dominican Republic and Disney, eating candy, playing sports, listening to music by Elvis and The Beatles, eating at Portillos and going to Chuck E. Cheese and Apple Holler. His love for his grandchildren was remarkable and they will always cherish the special bond they shared with their beloved "Nonno."

As we mourn the loss of Tony, let us also take time to celebrate the profound impact he had on all who knew him. May his legacy of love and compassion inspire us to follow in his footsteps and make the world a brighter place. In moments of remembrance, amidst the laughter and tears shared in his honor, may we find comfort in knowing that Tony now rests in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so generously shared during his time with us all. Forever in our hearts, Tony will be dearly missed but never forgotten, his spirit living on in the lives he touched and the love he left behind.
