Thomas H. Greener

Visitation for Thomas H. Greener, 86, of Palatine, will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Tom passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1937, to the late Thomas and Gertrude Greener. Tom was the beloved husband of 57 years to Marianne Greener; the loving father of children, Christine (Brad) Uhlig, Michael Greener, and James “Jim” (Michelle) Greener; the devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Erica, Carly, Marin, Lena, and Hugh; and the dear brother of William Greener.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Anne Greener.

Tom proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and earned his degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago and his MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. Tom later started an electrical contracting business and could fix anything. Tom was proud of his children and grandchildren and joyfully attended their games and events. He will be remembered for his kindness, enthusiasm, and his warm smile for all. He will be greatly missed.
