Theresa (Lena) Palella

Funeral Services and Interment for Theresa (Lena) Palella, 96, of Palatine, a former longtime resident of Chicago, will be private for the family.

Theresa was born October 11, 1923 in Chicago, and passed away September 29, 2020 at the St. Joseph’s Home in Palatine.

Theresa was the loving mother of the late Dominic, Domenica, the late Joseph, Marian, and Josephine; loving grandmother of Jennifer, Julie, Jonathan, Anthony, Vincent, Tristan, Todd, Theresa and James; loving great-grandmother of Anna, William, Tristan II, Tallis, Katelyn and Kylie.

Prior to retiring at age 75, Theresa had been an employee of Columbus Hospital in Chicago where she had worked for 35 years.  Dancing was an activity that brought great joy to Theresa throughout the years.  She had been a volunteer at the Clearbrook Center in Arlington Heights.  Her greatest happiness came from helping and giving to others.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O the St. Joseph’s Home, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067.
