Teresa Wojewoda

Visitation for Teresa Wojewoda, 91, formerly a longtime resident of Evanston, will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM, on Friday, May 27, 2022 also at the funeral home and process to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for a 10:00 AM Mass.  The Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, Niles.

Teresa was born in Poland on September 6, 1930 to John and Stella Wawrzyniak.  She passed away at home on May 23, 2022.

Teresa was an avid gardener. A little over a year ago, she moved to Lake Zurich to be closer to her family.

Teresa was the beloved wife of the late, Eugene Wojewoda; loving mother of Christine Wojewoda-Benedict, Carl E. (Kathy) Wojewoda; dear grandmother of Cordelia Grimes and Stephanie Streisel, and dear great-grandmother of Elena Grimes and Bella Grimes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her five siblings and her son-in-law, Laurance Benedict.
