Visitation for Rosita Carrera, 94, of Palatine, will be on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM also at the funeral home on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and process to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, IL for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. The Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
Rosita was born in Ecuador, South America on September 27, 1932. She passed away at home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
Rosita was the beloved wife of the late, Julio N. Carrera; loving mother of Patrick (Doris), Marlene Carrera, Carlos, Maritza (Nick) Cortese; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Iliia Krastev), Natalie, Michael, Jennifer, Veronica, Zachary, Derek Julian, Jaelyn Rose, Dominik, and fond great-grandmother to Robert Matthew.
