A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated for Rosemary Catherine White on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Inverness.  There will be no Visitation.  If attending the Mass, please pre-register at http://bit.ly/WhiteRFuneral. (The church also asks that attendees arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in.) The Interment will be held privately with the family.

She was born in Chicago on August 21, 1927, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Rosemary was the only child of John & Margaret Kane; dearly beloved wife of Raymond J. White, Sr.; devoted mother to Raymond J., Jr. (Stephanie), Gerald (Annie), Suanne (Joe) Leahy, Gregory (Mary Jo), John (Maribeth), Joseph (Gina) and Christopher (Kimberly); adored by all her Chickadees: grandchildren Bridget (Chris) Kaspar, Jenny (fiancé Mike DeVito) Petruzzi, Jimmy, Jr. (Jennifer) Petruzzi, Libby (Ian) Hudson, Maureen (Frank) Gibson, Megan (Brian) Robin, Katie (Adam) Chesney, Annie Laurie (Dan) Berni, Maggie (Geoffrey Harrison) White, Michael (Robyn) White, Marty (Margaret) White, Michelle (Kyle) Johnson, Christen (fiancé Manny Cruz) White, Meaghan (Bradley) Weitzel, Nora (Kevin) Malone, Lauren White, C.K., Jr. (fiancé Lindsey Costliow) White, Peter Curran O’Meara, Spencer White and Rosemary White; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Holly, Tyler, Leah, James III, Kailey Rose, Callum, Lyla, Gemma, John, Mia, Samantha, Jeremy, Franklin, William, Leo, Margot, Brennan, Susannah, Merritt, Hannah, Sullivan, Rosemary, Elijah, Eliza, Quinn, Ryan and a great-grandson to be born in July; she was the fond daughter-in-law of the late Florence White, and sister-in-law of the late Jean Koper.

Her Ray was the love of her life.  They met as teenagers and their love bloomed for nearly eight decades.  June 17th would have marked their 71st wedding anniversary.  Motherhood was Rosemary’s calling, and she gave it her lifelong embrace – making a home that had a gravitational pull – a place of generations of endless fun and fantastic memories for her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.  She was so much a part of the fabric of our lives that it is impossible to imagine what our world will look like without her essence running through it, animating it, and infusing it with her love.  Her love for us, and ours for her, is undying, never-ending. We will miss her – our heart, our home – far more than words can express.

The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the staff at Cedar Lake Assisted Living, who have provided to Rosemary – and continue to provide to Raymond – loving and attentive care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks all to consider donations in Rosemary’s memory, to Journey Care Foundation at https://journeycare.org or to St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly at https://littlesistersofthepoorpalatine.org
