Rolf E. Kowalewski

Memorial Visitation for Rolf E. Kowalewski, 86, of Palatine, will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Memorial Service may be viewed at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/77747  The Interment will be private.

Rolf was a brilliant engineer at Motorola for 35 years, acquiring numerous patents for development of the mobile phone. He was extremely passionate about his work. He was also very passionate about his family and loved family gatherings. He cherished every moment he spent with the whole family. He had a great sense of humor and was always able to make people laugh. We all loved him very much.

Rolf was the beloved husband of Renate; brother of Connie Bahr; and uncle of Linda Hein. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Gertrude Kowalewski.
