Robert E. Hauter

Visitation for Robert Eugene Hauter, 94, of Lake Zurich, IL, will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 PM. The Interment will be private.

Robert passed away on August 7, 2025, in Lake Zurich. He was born on August 7, 1931, in Beardstown, IL to Edgar H. and Myrtle (Blaser) Hauter.

He graduated from Beardstown High School in Beardstown, IL. He attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. He served for four years in the United States Navy as an aviation electronics technician. He worked as a tool and die maker and a mold maker. He was a Life Member of the VFW. He was an inactive member of United Methodist Church of Pea Ridge, AR.

He married Vivian Marie Fulscher at the United Methodist Church in Beardstown, IL on December 15, 1957. They were parents of two children, Bradley and Dianne. They lived in Springfield, IL, Mundelein, IL, McHenry, IL, Pea Ridge, AR and Lake Zurich, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Dianne (Robert) Romei of Lake Zurich, IL; two grandsons, Pierce Romei of Lake Zurich, IL and Robert W. (Sarah) Hauter of McHenry, IL; and two granddaughters, Allison Romei of Schaumburg, IL and Ellysa Hauter (Mark Feye) of Wauconda, Il; and two great grandsons, Jude Feye and Marcellus Feye of Wauconda, IL; daughter-in-law, Deborah Hauter of Wauconda, IL; and cousin, Shirley Brinkmeyer of Quincy, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bradley David Hauter; and sister, Mardelle Sparks.
