Robert P. Guretz

Visitation for Robert P. Guretz, 83, of Palatine, will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Home, 80 W. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Robert was born on December 4, 1941, to Peter and Helen Guretz. He passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025.

Robert was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1959. Robert entered the United States Airforce and served as a computer engineer in Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He married Eloise Jerzyk in 1965 and became the proud father of David and Bradley. He coached youth baseball and basketball, volunteered at Our Lady of the Wayside, and became a superfan of his grandchildren' s sports teams.

Robert was the beloved husband of the late Eloise L. Guretz, ; loving father of David A., Bradley R.(Kathleen); loved grandfather of Mary, Ryan, Michael, Aiden, Ann, Cameron, Andrew, and Nora. Dear brother of Sr. Janet H. OP of Springfield and Joseph P (Marjorie) of Henderson, Nev.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Little Sisters of the Poor.
