Robert E. Haren

A Memorial Visitation for Robert Edward Haren, 92, of Palatine since 1965, will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine.  The Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Robert was born May 20, 1924 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and he passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at home in Palatine.  

Robert was a WWII Navy Veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre.  He was a Pharmacist Mate; trained as a field surgeon.  He retired from Fannie Mae Federal National Mortgage in Chicago.  Most of all, his family meant everything to him.

Beloved husband of the late Elaine M. Haren (nee Youngmann), loving father of Linda (Jim) Mackey, Kathy (Jeff) Reimer and Robert (Ann) Haren; loving grandfather of Kevin Mackey, Kelly (Rob) Allen, Michael (Sarah) Peet, Jessica Reimer, Rebecca Reimer and Bret and Matthew Haren; loving great-grandfather of Madison Peet, Brayden Peet, Hadley Elyse  Reimer and Mac Allen; dear son of the late Francis and Josephine (nee Dandle) Haren; fond brother of the late Raymond Joseph (late Cecil Mae) Haren.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
