Robert D. Gould

Robert D. (Bob) Gould, age 54, of Palatine, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 31, 2022. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille, 60 N. Bothwell St., Palatine IL. Please come and raise a glass in Bob’s honor.

Bob was born on February 28, 1967, to Robert and Ginny.  He attended Naperville Central High School.  He married his “m’lady” Mary in 2004 and they enjoyed spending time with their abundance of children and grandchildren.  He started and successfully ran Homesource Remodeling and Repair.

You could always find Bob working around the house (and doing constant renovations…) followed by his daily afternoon siesta.  He enjoyed getting friends and family together at the “Gould Party Palace” with lots of music, games and grilling.  A couple evenings a week were spent hanging out with neighbors and calling for “shots o’clock”.  Bob and Mary enjoyed traveling all over, some of their favorites being the annual fishing trip, Florida, Lodi, and most recently their trip to Mexico.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Gould (nee Krywar); children, Chloe, Joey (Cassie), Stephen (Emily), Bobby (Ali) and Phillip Gould; step children, Patrick (Mel), Erin, Stacey and Steve; grandchildren, SJ, Quinn and Lucas; his mother, Ginny Clark, step father, Larry Clark; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Gould.
