Rita Carey

A private Funeral Mass for Rita Brady Carey, 95, will be said on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, Palatine.

Rita was born on January 16, 1926.  She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Home on Monday, May 31, 2021.

The greatest loves of her life were her family and her Roman Catholic faith. She found great joy volunteering for various Catholic organizations over many years.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, William; mother, Mary; husband, William R. Carey and son, William R. Carey Jr.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Joann C. Steenken & Catherine Carey; six grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

We will miss her gentle spirit & kind heart.  She will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, Rita would appreciate donations be made to St. Joseph Home, Palatine, IL which provided loving support during her final days.
