Paul S. Fracassi

Jun 14, 1965 — Oct 19, 2026

Palatine October 19, 2026

Funeral Services and Burial for Paul Samuel Fracassi, 61, of Palatine, IL since 2005, formerly of Pensacola, FL and Littleton, CO, will be held Monday, October 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery Chapel, 1185 Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067 (located directly behind the cemetery office).

Paul was born June 14, 1965, in Chicago, and passed away October 19, 2026, at home in Palatine, cared for by his family.

Paul was the beloved husband of Roberta J. "Bobbie" Fracassi (nee Burden); loving father of Uriah (Amy) Fracassi and Maria Fracassi; loving grandfather of Hannah, Judah, Micah, and Isaiah Fracassi; son of the late Louis P. and Peggy (nee Harrison) Fracassi; and dear brother of Peggy (Wallie) George, Linda (Dan) Vogel, Lawrence (Karen) Fracassi, Pamela (Bill) McIlree, and Louis Jr. (Cindy) Fracassi. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janet (nee Bowen) Fracassi.

Paul was raised in Mount Prospect, IL alongside his five siblings and parents. His father was an amphibious tank driver during World War II in the 4th division who fought at Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Paul prized his fathers war stories and shared them lovingly with his family.

Over the years, he lived in the Colorado foothills with his sister Linda, spent time in San Diego, CA, and eventually settled in Denver, CO, where he attended the Art Institute. While he did not pursue commercial art, his creative talents flourished in service to his church and family. Paul was born again of the water and Spirit during his years in Denver, filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus’ name at Landmark Tabernacle. A devoted worshiper, he poured his time and artistic vision into his local church, designing and building striking sets and backdrops for large-scale productions. Paul also worked for decades as a skilled woodworker and cabinetmaker, crafting countless beautiful and functional pieces.

Despite enduring significant physical health struggles and the loss of his first wife, Janet, Paul remained defined by his humor, ability to start up a conversation with anyone he met, and bold personality. Always eager to say hello, he formed lasting bonds with neighbors who became loyal friends. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures: building models, handcrafting cards and gifts for family, playing video games, watching movies, enjoying his favorite snacks and treats, doting on his many cats, and playing with his four grandchildren.

His wife, Bobbie, was his steadfast anchor. She was the love of his life, his best friend, and his devoted companion—a blessing Paul often acknowledged, crediting her love and care with carrying him through his later years. Above all, Paul’s greatest legacy is his lifelong love for the Lord and his unwavering trust in Jesus Christ until the very end.
