Patricia A. Rusch

Visitation for Patricia “Patti” A. Rusch, 81, of Lake Zurich, will be on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich from 9:00 AM until the time of prayers at 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich. The Interment will be private at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Patti was born on April 24, 1944, to Clem and Mary Pack. She passed away at home on Friday, June 20, 2025. Patti graduated in 1962 from Saint Mary High, Menasha, Wisconsin. She turned down a full university scholarship to remain at home in support of her mother. In 1963, she graduated from the School of Vocational and Adult Education Practical Nurse Program Neenah-Menasha, Wisconsin. August 20, 1966, Patti married David. The couple moved to Palatine, Illinois where Patti began nursing at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, Illinois and David began teaching at Fremd High School in Palatine. In 1972, Patti and Dave moved into their new home in Lake Zurich, Illinois. The couple joined St. Francis de Sales Church. They helped out in the food pantry and Patti served many years as a Minister of Care.

Patti took great pride in flower gardening and cooking & baking for her family. She enjoyed hiking, biking, golfing, bowling, and winter sports. Active family vacations at national parks in the west were a favorite. Best of all was being part of her grandchildren’s lives as they grew from babies into young adults. Patti followed Dave into retirement in 2001.

Patti was the beloved wife of David Rusch for 58 years; loving mother of Tammy Rusch, Troy Rusch, Trissa (Patrick) Noonan, and Tara (Eric) Jopp; cherished grandmother of Riley, Sean and James Noonan, and Griffin and Trevor Jopp. She has a younger brother Bernard in Seattle, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her father Clem, mother Mary, and older brothers Richard, Ronald, and Ted.
