Norman S. Bundt

Visitation for Norman S. Bundt, 75, will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 29, 2022, also at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine. The Interment will be held privately.

Norm was born in Chicago on June 20, 1947, and lived in Chicago and Morton Grove through his childhood. He passed away on August 25, 2022, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Norm was a graduate of Maine East High School and Western Illinois University where he met his wife, Marsha.  

Residing in Hoffman Estates for the past 42 years and married for 52 years, Norm and Marsha loved to travel, spending any moment they could enjoying the national parks, Maui, and Florida.  Most enjoyably were the many family trips to Disney World.  Norm’s entire career was in furniture sales.  He worked at his family-owned furniture store and represented several furniture brands during his entire working career.  Norm traveled the state of Illinois as a furniture rep, meeting so many wonderful people, yet no one was more passionate over furniture than Norm!  One could always find Norm enjoying the theatre and time with his closest of friends, yet Norm’s greatest joy was his family!

Norman is survived by his wife Marsha Bundt; children Alisa Kapusinski, Andrea Bundt, and Mark (Amy) Bundt; grandchildren Kassandra and Makena and Norm’s other “daughter” Doris (Marco) Lima.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald, and parents, Irving and Roslyn Bundt.
