Nancy M. Bentsen

Funeral Services and Interment for Nancy Marie Bentsen, of Palatine, will be private for the family at Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.

Nancy was born on December 19, 1943, in Chicago, later moving to Barrington where she graduated from Barrington High School and then Northern Illinois University. She was a teacher in Barrington School District 220 for 34 years before retiring in 2001.

In earlier years, Nancy and her husband Gary loved traveling to Mexico. Nancy considered education to be a lifelong concern, and she strived to continually improve her knowledge of the Spanish language and Mexican culture.

She also traveled to Mexico to teach English as a second language.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Rosequist; her parents, Harvey and Edythe Bentsen; her brother, Donald Bentsen; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Charles Johnson; and her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Vernon Frost; and her dogs, Britta and Silver.

She is survived by her nephew and nieces, Mark, Meri and Lisa Johnson; her niece and nephew, Janet (Werner Kaufmann) and James Frost (Jerry Pohlen); and many great-nieces, nephews and friends.
