Myron Nerzig

A Celebration of Life for Mike Nerzig, of Mt. Prospect, will be held at 10:00 am Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway. Palatine.

He was born April 26, 1936 in Brooklyn NY and passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carolyn “Lynn” and his children Kim Nerzig, Todd (Christine) Nerzig, Elizabeth Ebnit, Babette Nerzig, Lisa (Leon) Delano and Deborah (John) Azpuru. Grandchildren Daniel Nerzig, Kristopher Nerzig, Cody (Madison) Ebnit, Alexandria Delano, Patrick Delano, Mark Delano, Madeline Delano, Haley Azpuru, John Azpuru Jr. Great grandson Hudson Ebnit, and his sister Adrienne Kurland as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra, his grandson Roy Nerzig, his sister Dolores Saxon and his parents Charles and Frances Nerzig.

Mike graduated from CW Post College of Long Island University with a degree in Engineering and worked as an Industrial Engineering Consultant for many years, most recently for Advantage Consulting Group. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was
also active in his community association and volunteered for ten years at Northwest Community Healthcare.
