Michael J. Brunner

Visitation for Michael J. Brunner, 44, of Palatine, will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of the Prayer Service at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. The Interment will be private.

Michael was born on August 15, 1979, to the late Charles and Carol Brunner. He died at home on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Mike was a 1997 graduate of Palatine High School. He attended Ohio University and graduated in 2001 where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He was also very involved in playing baseball growing up, from the Palatine Boys Baseball, Palatine Travelers and Palatine High School baseball teams. Additionally, he was a loyal Cubs fan and a devoted dog dad to his German Shepherds, Zoey and Lola.

Mike was the dear brother of Sue Brunner, Debbie Aguirre, Bob (Lisa) Brunner; fond uncle of Jake, Austin, Katie, Liam, Isla, and Clara; and loving fiancé to Kelsey Hogaboom. He is also survived by his godparents, Charlie and Missy Pape.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Edward Aguirre.
