Mary Margaret R. Matuga

Visitation for Mary Margaret Matuga (Glaser), 85, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, formerly of Deer Park, Illinois will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, Illinois.

Mary Margaret was born December 27, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away, surrounded by her family, on August 28, 2026, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Mary Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph A. Matuga; loving mother of Mark (Amy) Matuga, Joseph Matuga, Susan (Luke) Wilberding, loving grandmother of Samantha Matuga, Mallory Matuga, and Brooklyn Wilberding; dear daughter of the late Edward and Joanne (Gleason) Glaser; her late brother, Ted (Carol) Glaser, fond sister of Carmelita (Bill) Wagner, her late brothers Thomas Glaser, and Anthony Glaser.

Mary Margaret walked through life with a generous heart, and elegant flair, and a joyful spirit. Whether she was engaging in lively conversation, helping someone in need, or stepping out beautifully dressed, she brought light to everyone around her. She filled her days with music and movement, finding great happiness in singing, dancing, and playing her favorite game of Bingo, with friends. An adventurous traveler, she loved exploring the world, carrying fond memories of her journeys to New Zealand, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem. Her gentle kindness extended to nature as well, where she found peace feeding and watching over the outdoor animals that crossed her path.
