Mary F. Pomplun

Memorial Visitation for, Mary Frances Pomplun (Nehrbass), 85, of Palatine since 1937, will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine.  Father Raymond Yadron will officiate.  The Interment was private.

Mary was born October 4, 1928 in Evanston, IL; and she passed away March 29, 2014, at NorthwestCommunityHospital, Arlington Heights.

She volunteered at Palatine Sparrow’s Nest and she was a member of the Golden Girls of Palatine High School.

Survivors include her son, Rick Pomplun; sister, Elizabeth (David) Laughlin; brother, John (Huay-Ling) Nehrbass, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy O. Pomplun; parents, Henry and Margarite (nee Ver Halen) Nehrbass; and her sister, Nona (late Noel) Bruns.
