Marjorie passed away on December 6, 2025. She was born on May 13, 1932, to August and Ada Buesching and was the granddaughter of William Buesching who served as one of the first members of the Lake Zurich Village Board.
She grew up as a farmer’s daughter on the Buesching farm at the corner of Route 12 and Old McHenry Road. When she married Paul in 1951, she moved to the Meyer farm at Midlothian and Echo Lake Roads. From 1966 until 2024 she lived at her beloved home at 36 Park Ave., Lake Zurich.
Marge enjoyed many years preparing and serving food at the Lake Zurich High School cafeteria and finished her working career in a similar role at Kemper Insurance Company.
Faith played an important role in Marge’s life. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hawthorn Woods. For many years, Marge was essential to the many dinners at church providing many hours of volunteer time as well as preparing her signature gravy. She loved serving in many ways at the church.
