Margie E. Mortensen

A Memorial Service for Margie E. Mortensen, age 90, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Palatine will be held in January 2022.

She passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Alden Poplar Creek Health Care Center. Margie was born on March 15, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Walter V. and Lola (nee Shehan) Tessman.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur C. Mortensen, sibling Walter (Butch) Tessman, Jr., and great grandchild Raegan Lee Migacz.

She was the loving mother of Christine (Ron) Mortensen, Thomas (Jan) Mortensen, Arthur (Candi) Mortensen, Lyle (Jane) Mortensen and Lois (Doug) Goetz; dear sister of Carol (Dennis) Lilla and Donald (Mary) Tessman. There are fourteen cherished grandchildren: Rachel (Chris) Todd, Tess Haber, and Zach (Nicola) Hahn; Ryan (Lindsay) Mortensen, Brittany (Patrick) Flaherty, Callen (Dan) Migacz, and Alex (Jessica) Mortensen; Garett Mortensen and Kara (Jared) Oksanen; Anne (John) Crotty, Amy (Michael) Formolo, and Elizabeth (Matt) Manning; and Alex (Teren) Goetz and Matthew (Elise) Goetz, she loved twenty-one great grandchildren.
