Marcella J. Grzes

Visitation for Marcella J. Grzes, 77, of Palatine, will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A Funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.

Marcella, Marcia, was an inspiring mother, caring wife and dedicated grandmother. We all remember Marcia’s sassy, fighting spirit, and stubborn but loyal soul. Those emotions and feelings came from a woman who loved her family with all of her heart. She would have done anything for us, and she always did. Without her, there will be a huge hole left in our family.

Marcella is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Roger) Jones, Amy (Keith) Soos and Michelle Carvajal; grandchildren Olivia Jones; Vanessa and Daisy Soos; and Javier and Natalia Carvajal.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Grzes, her father Casmir Kemnetz, her mother Evelyn Kemnetz and her sister Cecilia Kemnetz
