Lois E. Hemmrich

Visitation for Lois Ethel Hemmrich, 98, of Chicago, will be held Monday, March 16, 2020 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home in Lake Zurich. The Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Chicago.

Lois was born January 16, 1922 in Chicago and passed away March 12, 2020 in Lake Zurich.

Beloved wife of the late William Hemmrich; loving mother of Lila Suhr, Mary (Luke) Cacioppo and Barbara (Terry) Polowy; Loving grandmother of William (Angela) Suhr, Michelle (Jacob) Weber, Daniel (Traci) Cacioppo, Tracey (Christopher) Umentum, Stacey (Patrick) Doherty and Christopher (Emily) Polowy; Loving great-grandmother of Trevor and Racquel Suhr, Claire Weber, Mia and Ava Cacioppo, Ryan, Colin and Aiden Doherty, Lauren and Nicolette Zdenovec, Courtney Umentum and Carter and Noah Polowy; fond sister of the late Jeanette and Clarence Lohrbach.

Lois experienced a myriad of jobs from child-care, making candy, bakery and retail sales. In her leisure she enjoyed ping-pong, bowling, dartball and last but not least cards and playing bingo. She never went anywhere without a deck of cards in her purse.

Most of all, her family was everything to her.
