Laurence B. Coffey, III

Visitation for Laurence B. Coffey, III, 68, of North Barrington, will be from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Family and friends will meet directly at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich on Friday, January 9, 2026, for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. The Interment will be private.

Larry was born on June 6, 1957, to the late Laurence and Winifred Coffey, Jr. He passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Larry was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Coffey of 43 years; loving father of Erin (Adam) Middleton and Megan (Alex) Lott; cherished grandfather of James and Charlotte Middleton, dear brother of Joan (Kelly) Yunker, Patrick (Sarah) Coffey, Kevin (Carol) Coffey, Nora (Late husband Robert) O’Donovan, Tim (Joyce) Coffey, John (Audrey) Coffey, and Michael (Susan) Coffey, fond brother-in-law to Paul (Stacey Fox) Meers; dear and proud uncle of Sarah, Shaye, Sean, Ryan, Connor, Kelly, Christin, Kathleen, Courtney, Colleen, Caitlin, Cara, Jenna, Matthew, Cody, Kaila, Elizabeth, Emma, Michael, Matthew Meers, and Michael Meers. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins near and far.

He was a man who believed deeply in showing up for others no matter where life took him. He gave his time and talents generously, whether as a trustee In Lake Zurich, a leader of multiple homeowners’ associations, or volunteering at St. Francis de Sales, he saw community not as a place but a responsibility. His leadership within his community and his family left everyone better. He will be sorely missed.
