Juan Estrada

Visitation for Juan Estrada, 75, a lifelong resident of Lake Zurich, will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, also at the funeral home. An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Juan was born June 23, 1947 in Durango, Mexico, and passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, surrounded by family at his at home in Lake Zurich.

Juan was the beloved husband of Emma Estrada (nee Chavarria) for 50 years; loving father of Jacqueline Venegas, Aracely Estrada, Emma Estrada, Veronica Ferreira (Carlos), and Anna Estrada; loving grandfather of Javier Venegas, Jesus Venegas, Johanny Santos, Javan Perez, Jereni Venegas, Nevaeh Perez, Samara Ferreira, Giancarlo Ferreira, Adriel Meza, Celine Ferreira, Eliett Uribe, and Merielle Uribe; dear son of the late Erasmo Estrada and Altagracia Arambula (nee Perez).

Juan will be remembered for his strong willed and selfless nature. He was always prepared to help anyone in need and fiercely protective of those he loved. His immeasurable faith and strength led him through each of life’s challenges, and love for his growing family was an ever present motivator to maintain his unfaltering work ethic. Juan’s endless wisdom, storytelling, and infectious laughter are already missed. Humbly handsome, intelligent, caring, and fearless—his family couldn’t have asked for a better partner or guide through life. He will be forever missed and remembered with love.
