Joseph S. Wascow

Visitation for Joseph S. Wascow, 84, of Hawthorn Woods, will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 9, 2022 also at the Funeral Home.  The Entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.

Joseph was born on August 3, 1937 to Joseph W. and Rose Wascow and passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2022.

Joseph was a US Army veteran and established his own successful construction company, Aardcor Contractors.  As an avid fisherman he enjoyed time on the water, having won numerous national tournaments, and launching his own line of patented fishing lures.  Bowling was also a passion and he loved bowling with his brother, cousins, and children in various leagues.  Known for being caring, having a big heart, and always willing to lend a hand, he will be dearly missed by every life he touched.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Donna Wascow for 52 years; loving father of: Joe (Lucy) Wascow, John (Joann) Wascow, and Jeff (Karla) Wascow; dear grandfather of: Joey, Jayla, Jasmine, and Avery; and brother of: Steve (Dorothy) Wascow.  He is further survived by his wonderful nieces, nephew, and cousins.
