Joseph S. Grossmayer

Visitation for Joseph S. Grossmayer, 91, of Lake Zurich, will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Interment will take place in St. John Nepomucene Cemetery in Fox River Grove.

He was born on March 21, 1930, in Glen Ullin, ND and passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

He was a member of the Lake Zurich American Legion Post 960, and a United States Marine Corp. Veteran.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Burke) married for 63 years; loving father of Joe P. (Kelly) and Maureen (John) Wuchterl;  dearest grandfather of Aaron (Kristin) Volling, Sophia Wuchterl, Bailey (Deanna) Volling, Stefani Volling, Nichalas Volling, Gracelynn Wuchterl, Brandon Grossmayer, Austin Grossmayer and Connor Grossmayer;  great grandfather of (Aaron) Caseon, Riley, Josie, (Sophia) Aleyda, Alena Jerrod and Bailey (Cole); brother of Simon Joseph (Ann) Grossmayer; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He is in death by his parents Nichalaus and Katherine, 8 siblings and a niece and a nephew.
