Joanne E. Strong

Services for Joanne E. Strong, 70, will be private. The Interment will be in Windridge Cemetery, in Cary.

Joanne was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, and passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

She attended Michigan State University and was a professional volunteer, doing everything from leading Girls Scouts and school art fairs, to acting as the Illinois PTA Treasurer. She loved going to movies and the theater with her kids, to Door County with her mom and sisters, and out to eat with the breakfast club.

Joanne was the loving wife of Dan Strong for over 47 years; mother of Leslie (Amos Hanson) Strong and Matt Strong; grandmother of James Strong; sister of Judi (George) Spanske and Jacki (Tim) Doyle; and a beloved aunt, breakfast club member, and neighbor to many more.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marjory Snip, and her husband, Dan Strong.
