A Funeral Mass for Joan L. Tessman, 82, a longtime resident of Palatine, will be said on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine. The Interment will be private.

Joan was born on December 5, 1942, to James and Mary Sifcak. She passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

In her spare time, Joan enjoyed gardening.

Joan was the beloved wife of the late, Walter Tessman, who died in 1983; loving mother of Cindy (Lucio Ramirez) Tessman, and Michael Tessman; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (David) Gustafson, Sarina (Irving) Flores, Nicholas Ramirez, and Alexandra (Charlie) Rocha; fond great-grandmother of Kyle Gustafson, Kaylee Gustafson, Kaitlyn Gustafson, Owen Flores, Luke Flores, and Jake Flores; and fond sister of the late Vilma Hansen and Patricia Walzel.
