Jane was born on December 22, 1930, to John and Mary Pasciak on the Southwest side of Chicago (Brighton Park). Jane’s parents were both Polish Immigrants making her a first generation American. She graduated from St. Casmir Girls High School and then began working at Spiegal mail order warehouse performing secretarial duties which she studied in high school. Jane met her husband to be John of nearby Bridgeport neighborhood and was soon engaged. John was drafted into the army and Jane asked her mother to borrow money to fly to San Francisco by herself and marry John before he shipped out to serve in the Korean Conflict. They were married December 7, 1951. She never flew again.
Jane gave birth to two sons, James and Thomas, and dedicated her years to motherhood and homemaking.
Jane was the loving wife of the late John Biernacki; beloved sister of Annie, Henry, Patsy, Stanley and Jean, who all preceded her into the care of the Lord. She was the devoted mother to Thomas (Nancy), and the late, James; dear grandmother to Vanessa, John (Lindsay), Caroline (Thomas) and Anthony; and fond great-grandmother to Benjamin, Jackson, Shane and Emersyn.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Bella Terra Nursing Home of Wheeling for their compassionate care and excellent support during Jane’s final years.
