A Memorial Visitation for James Vincent Lynch, 66, of Harvard, will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 9:30 am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. An Inurnment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
Jim loved. He loved his family, long-time partner Ruth Duncan, and his dog, Oreo. He loved to live life with zeal, laughing, singing, and telling stories. His charm and wit will be missed but not forgotten. He will be remembered whenever a Willow tree is near – for the times he fished and taught his brother to fish under them, and for the beauty he saw in them – a reminder for how he saw so many things. He approached every situation with humor and a positive attitude.
James is survived by his children, Sean (Joanna) Lynch and Abigail (Jose) Cisneros; grandchildren, Oliver and Sophie Lynch; sibling, Joseph (Jeanine) Lynch; Brother In-Law, Jeff Wooley and Sister In-Law, Maribeth Lynch; nieces and nephews, Sarah (David) Diorio, Joseph (Emily) Lynch, Emily Lynch, Margaret Lynch, John (Brittany) Lynch and Elizabeth (Brad) Bingham.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan Lynch; and siblings, Janet (Jeff) Woolley and John (Maribeth) Lynch.
