James E. Szyszka

Visitation for James E. Szyszka, 77, of Palatine, will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.   The family Interment will private.

It’s huge and wonderful to have an honest man you can trust to show up for you.  He was always there in good times and bad.  We can’t imagine being loved by anyone better.  He is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.

James was the beloved husband of Barbara Szyszka (nee Golly) for 56 years; loving father of Jodi (Kevin) Carroll and David (Ceila) Szyszka; cherished grandfather of Julian, Tyler, Ryan, Emily, Aydan and Derek. He was a loving brother to Bob, Larry and Paul.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Szyszka and sister, Marianne.
