Visitation for Gerhard J. Stengel, 83, of Palatine, will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service, 12:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. A private interment will take place at Windridge Cemetery in Cary.
He was born on July 14, 1933 in Germany and passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.
Gerhard was the beloved husband of Katharina; father of Norman (Sharon), Ralph (Sharon) and Linda (Mike) Flaherty; grandfather “Opa” of Lauren, Jessica, Kaylin, Mitchell, Justin, William and Krysta; brother of Norbert, Manfred and the late Herbert.
