George V. Grisco

September 24, 1932 — July 8, 2022

Visitation for George V. Grisco, 89, of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2022 also at the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

George was a Corporal in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a long-time resident of Palatine and original owner of Brandt’s The Little Cafe in Palatine for over 70 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with his son in laws. In his early years, in New Orleans, he rode, trained horses and eventually owned racehorses at Arlington Park Racetrack.  He loved life and his family always came first.

George was the beloved father of Karen (Tony) Aprile, Joanne (Craig) Wallace, Georgine (Jon) Konuk and Valerie Grisco; loving grandfather of Dominic, Anthony, Cassie, Justin, Andrew, and Tristan; brother of the late Theresa (the late Tom) Peters, Lenore (John) Martini, and Elaine (the late Lido Sr.) Manetti, and proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia (Brandt) Grisco.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little City Countryside Center, 2360 Palmer Drive, Schaumburg, Il 60173.
