Elaine E. Anstedt

Visitation for Elaine E. Anstedt (nee Schuler), 90, of Palatine, will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Elaine will lie in state, Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, Illinois 60067.  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Elaine was born September 13, 1931 in Wheeling, Illinois, and passed away, January 26, 2022 in Long Grove.

Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Paul Anstedt Jr.; loving mother of Kimberly (Eugene) Schneider-Mores, Paul (Mary) Anstedt, Mark (Karen) Anstedt; loving grandmother of Tiffany Schneider (in memory), Jessica (Edward) Fernandez, Christopher (Kristin) Schneider, Brian (Shelby) Anstedt, Daniel (Cody) Anstedt, Melissa Schneider, Michael (Michelle) Anstedt, Eric (Kirsten) Anstedt, and Shannon Anstedt; loving great-grandmother to 18 adoring great grandchildren; dear daughter of the late Elmer and Eleanor (nee Rateike) Schuler; fond sister of Bobby Schuler (in memory), Carolynn Erickson, Elroy (Lib) Schuler, Larry (Nancy) Schuler, Steven (Connie) Schuler, sister-in-law, Corrine (Ed) Struck, and many nieces and nephews.

Elaine grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  She graduated from Immanuel Lutheran grade school and Arlington Heights high school.  She married Paul Anstedt Jr. in September 1955 and moved to Palatine, Illinois to raise their family.  Elaine was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School and an active member of Immanuel’s 50’s+ club.  She also worked for Blenner Insurance for 30 years.  She had many fond traveling adventures, her favorites being a trip throughout Germany with Immanuel Lutheran Church and a Caribbean cruise with her children and grandchildren.  Elaine loved to garden and tend her roses.
